The Alamo City Stutters was established in 1977 by Patricia Basham Montgomery, "Patti Ann"
Patti Ann twirling studio had evolved when a high school young girl wanted a summer job but her parents wouldn't let her, so she decided that she could teach baton twirling lessons to the young girls in the neighborhood. To her, this was not work. Since that summer, twirling has been taken to a new dimension. More girls wanted to learn and a studio was born. Since that time, the studio has moved and developed to the changing needs of the people that we service.
At our studio, we are proud to say that we take each child on their own personal journey. We expose each twirler to all aspects of baton twirling and let them decide to what level they want to take baton twirling.
We teach competitive baton twirling and support many local, state, and regional contests. We have a large camp during the summer where outstanding twirlers come to teach our students and other guests at the camp. The camp is open to all twirlers in the state of Texas. We also have out of state guest that come to the Camp. We always go to our National competitions at Notre Dame University every summer.
